Praise & Worship Leader

Do you have a passion for creating music and experiences that reveal the heart of God and lead others into his presence? If so, then you may be the person we are looking for! Cornerstone North Raleigh Christian Church is seeking a Praise & Worship Leader to join our community. The Praise & Worship Leader will lead our congregation into a more dynamic and intimate praise and worship experience with God. The successful candidate will lead praise and worship during our Sunday morning services and during special services. The individual will also work in collaboration with the senior pastor to develop Cornerstone North Raleigh’s music ministry.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities: The successful candidate must be a born again Christian who will embrace Cornerstone North Raleigh’s faith and core beliefs. Demonstrated skills and proficiency playing the keyboard and piano; demonstrated knowledge of other musical instruments, such as the guitar and drums; demonstrated ability to play all types of music including gospel, contemporary gospel, and praise and worship music; demonstrated ability to lead congregational singing; demonstrated experience in directing a choir and praise team. Ability to work with multiple age groups. An “ear” for music and the ability to read music is preferred. Enthusiastic and organized; excellent personal communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) are essential. Ability to cultivate a warm, inviting and energizing environment for the music ministry.

Education and Experience: Some post high school education and training in music, worship leadership or related field or the equivalent combination of training, education and experience. A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role.

Start Date: Negotiable. Pay: A stipend will be commensurate with education and experience.
