The Good News
Jesus is the Son of God. He lived a perfect, sinless life and then died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. In Romans 5:8 the Bible says “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (NIV)
Jesus rose from the dead and now He lives in Heaven with God His Father. He offers us the gift of eternal life — of living forever with Him in heaven if we trust Him as our Lord and Savior. The Bible says in Romans 6:23 “…the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Eternal life in heaven is a free gift. Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by Me.”
God reaches out in love to you now and wants you to be His child. “As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe on His name.” You can choose to ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sins and come in to your life as your Lord and Savior.
Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ
“Dear God, I come to You as a sinner. I believe what Your word says in Romans chapter 10 and verse 9 that if I confess with my mouth, that Jesus is Lord and believe in my heart that on the third day You raised Him from the dead, I will be saved. I do confess Jesus as Savior and Lord. I do believe that He died on the cross for my sins and for the sins of the world. I believe that on the third day, You raised Him from the grave. Now He sits on your right hand interceding for me and for all who will confess Him and believe on Him. I repent of my sins and receive Jesus as my Savior and Lord. I receive the free gift of salvation by faith. Thank You God for saving me. In Jesus name, Amen.”
The Bible says in Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
If you prayed just prayed the prayer above and you were truly sincere about what you just said, then you are now saved. Nothing spectacular may have happened to you as you prayed and you may not feel any different from the way you felt two minutes before you prayed. But make no mistake, you are saved. Don’t let anyone or (even you) convince you otherwise. Now you have the opportunity to live a victorious life here on earth; and, when you leave this life, heaven will be your home.
